GCH King’s Rock Knight Time Confit 2*M is a very exciting doe for us, merging our two “lines” back together, crossing a GCH King’s Rock Madison Isabella 2*M son, *B King’s Rock Up All Knight to GCH AKM-Farm Carmel 1*M. And the result is this doe that we love. She is strong in her general appearance, she’s a deep and wide doe and her udder is easily one of my favorites in the herd, taking after both her dam Carmel and her paternal granddam Madison.
Polly, as she is known here, earned her championship, starting with earning her first leg as a dry yearling at the 2018 Dutchess County Fair, where she was also the Best Junior Doe In Show. Then, as a first freshening two-year-old, she went Grand at the 2019 Altamont Doe Show. In 2020, we almost lost Polly due to a severe pregnancy toxemia situation, but diligent care, a cud transfer, and many goat smoothies kept her alive and allowed her to recover and slowly regain weight. Polly finished her championship in 2021 at the Progressive Dairy Goat Club’s Champagne Classic. She also earned an appraisal score of 90 EVEE and had a lactation of 2100 pounds. Polly was dry in 2022 and 2023, but is back for 2024 and making up for lost time!
