Java is gone now but a doe who left a lasting impact on our herd and our hearts!

Java quickly filled the shoes of her dam, Carmel, when it came to being in the show ring, becoming a 2nd generation GCH doe, and going on to produce another generation of GCH does with her daughter, GCH King’s Rock Raindrops on Roses 3*M. We also have her younger daughter King’s Rock Count Me In 3*M and several granddaughters as well, including GCH (pending) King’s Rock TiedUpWith Strings 4*M.

In 2017, Java entered the show ring after a late July freshening, going 2nd at her first show (to a paternal half-sister).  After a successful linear appraisal where she earned a final score of 89 EVEV, Java completed her championship at the 2017 Dutchess County Fair.  She also went Best of Breed and Best Udder of Breed as well as being a critical part of our group classes including 1st place Get of Sire and 1st Place Dairy Herd.  With limited showing in 2016 due to Nationals, Java still had a great year.  At the 2016 ADGA Nationals, she placed 15th in a very large class of 4 year old does.  After Nationals, Java earned her restricted leg at the 2016 Dutchess County Youth Show by going Grand Champion and Best in Show.  She then went on be Reserve Grand Champion at the Progressive Midsummer Madness Show and also at the 2016 Dutchess County Fair (for the second year in a row) behind her herdmate, Double Shot.  To finish the show season, Java was the Grand Champion, Best of Breed, and Best Udder at the 2016 Big E! At the 2015 INBA District 2 Specialty, Java was 1st place three-year-old and Best Udder of Breed.  She finished the 2015 season going Reserve Grand Champion at the Dutchess County Fair.
